1. Introduction
Welcome to GTM Club (“we”, “our”, “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit our website www.gtm.club, subscribe to and interact with our GTM Club Newsletter, or join our Talent Pool.

3. Data We Collect
- Personal Data: Name and email address when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. Additionally, we may store additional data upon subscribing (your estimated location based on IP address, page you subscribed on, and referring domain, time of subscription) and upon your later visits (time of visit, when you have logged in, and time of unsubscribing)
- Newsletter Data: Status of your newsletter subscription(s). When you interact with our newsletter, we collect data if our emails reach you, if you open them, if you click on links, and any feedback you may provide related to them.
- Technical Data (website visits): Estimated location, browser type, device type, operating system, page visits, and visit duration for analytics
- Talent Pool Data: Data collected for Talent Pool members includes name, LinkedIn profile, professional background and experience, desired role (title and description), preferred work location and mode (remote/hybrid/on-site), language skills, and willingness to relocate.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data (e.g., health info, political views). We kindly request that subscribers or Talent Pool members not submit such sensitive data. If you do, we reserve the right to remove or anonymise it.
4. Regular Sources of Information
Information is collected directly from you when you subscribe to our newsletter, join Talent Pool, use our services, or interact with our website or with us (via email or LinkedIn).
5. How We Use Your Data
- Newsletter Subscriptions: We send you one or more of our newsletters based on your active subscription(s).
- Improving User Experience: To analyse and enhance our website’s content and performance, we analyse how our logged-in users interact with our content (pages visited, time of visits). To maintain a high email delivery rate, we use data from successful/failed email deliveries to maintain our subscriber lists. Additionally, we may analyse email opens and clicks on links to clean our subscriber list of inactive subscribers.
- Anonymous Website Analytics: We run the Plausible Analytics to collect anonymous usage data for statistical purposes, not to track individual visitors. All the data is in aggregate only, and Plausible does not collect personal data.
- Cookies: We don't set any non-essential or permanent cookies. Our website runs on Ghost(Pro), which uses cookies only to record your current session information (whether you're logged in or not).
- Talent Pool:
- Matchmaking: We use your data to highlight candidate profiles to potential employers in our network. By default, the Talent Pool promotions in our newsletter are anonymous (e.g., no name/LinkedIn link) unless you explicitly authorise us to reveal your identity to an employer.
- Employer Introductions: If a potential employer expresses interest, we will only share your detailed profile or contact information with that employer after obtaining your specific permission. Sharing the profile happens via LinkedIn or email.
- Communication: We may contact you via email or LinkedIn to confirm details, request updates, coordinate introductions, etc.
6. Legal Basis for Processing
- Consent: You have given consent for us to process your personal data by subscribing to our newsletter or by joining Talent Pool. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see Section 12 on how to exercise your rights).
- Legitimate Interests: To improve our services and user experience.
7. Retention and Deletion of Personal Information
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. We securely delete or anonymise your information when it is no longer needed.
Data submitted to Talent Pool is kept separate from newsletter subscriptions and deleted six months after the latest submission. The anonymised profiles featured in the GTM newsletter are available via Newsletter Archive (on GTM Club website) indefinitely or until you request removal.
8. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent. We may use subcontractors to process personal information under strict confidentiality and security measures. We may also share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information with our business partners.
We use external platforms (e.g., Notion and Google Workspace) to facilitate, store and manage communication with/to you. This may involve transferring your data outside the EU/EEA. (See Section 10 for more details on international transfers.)
Special Terms for Talent Pool Participants:
We share your detailed Talent Pool data only with potential employers after obtaining your explicit consent. We use external platforms (e.g., Notion and Google Workspace) to store and manage Talent Pool submissions and participant data. This may involve transferring your data outside the EU/EEA. (See Section 10 for more details on international transfers.)
9. Data Security
We protect your personal information with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Access to your data is restricted to personnel who need it to perform their job functions.
10. Data Transfer Outside the EU/EEA
Personal data may be processed outside the EU and EEA by our data processors. However, our data processors are committed to adhering to the obligations set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for data transfers. This includes ensuring that any data transferred outside the EU/EEA is afforded an adequate level of protection by implementing one or more of the following safeguards:
- Adequacy Decision: Ensuring the country has been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection by the European Commission.
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): Using specific contracts approved by the European Commission that give your data the same protection as the EU/EEA.
11. Your Rights to Access, Rectify and Request Erasure Your Data
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your data.
- Rectify inaccuracies.
- Request erasure.
To exercise your rights, contact us by sending an email from the address listed in the register to the data controller's contact person (below). The requester's identity is verified before providing/altering/deleting any data.
12. Other Rights of the Data Subject
Individuals have the right to request the data controller to limit the processing of their data in accordance with Article 18 of the GDPR. Such requests can be made by email, including justification for the limitation. If processing is based on consent, individuals can withdraw consent at any time by notifying via email. In some cases, individuals may have the right to data portability, meaning they can receive their personal data in a commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transfer this data to another controller if technically feasible.
Individuals also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if they believe their personal data is being processed in violation of applicable data protection legislation.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting a notice on our website.
